Brisbane Kids Family Day Care is a child care service catering for children of all ages in the private homes of licensed child care educators.

Family Day Care Schemes are organised and supported by sponsors, which are not-for-profit organizations. Regulations and standards for the operation of Family Day Care are determined by State and Federal Governments. These regulations cover the administration of schemes, the number of children placed with an educator, safety standards within the home, and the quality of care that children receive.

The Scheme Co-Ordination Unit is the contact point for parents requiring care for their children. This unit also offer support services and access to training programs for educators and parents within the scheme.

Child care educators are licensed through the scheme's sponsoring body and fulfil all scheme and regulatory requirements to be eligible for work.

Co-Ordinators are responsible for recruiting, assessing and selecting suitable people to become Family Day Care educators.
